Our mule training philosophy is different than most. We actually spend very little time in the arena. We train our mules in the environment they are expected to perform in. We believe in tough conditioning and teaching the mule who rides who. We expose our mules to all kinds of distractions both man-made and natural and teach them to be at ease when stressful situations present themselves. We train our mules day or night, rain or shine, hot or cold. We go to different sites and we rotate roles often to make sure our mules both lead and follow. Our mules are kept in good using condition mainly on good grass hay fed on the ground at a rate of 12-14 pounds per day per animal. Our mules are trained well enough that we can offer them for sale as Select Saddle Mules.
